Hippo Safety Fence (or HSF for short) is the European brand name for a super-safe fencing system. A flexible plastic strip (approximately 47mm wide and 1.5mm thick) is attached to the post with special holders and tensioned with a ratchet.

The special strap holders have a dual function: they hold the HSF strap in place, and a separate hole allows for an electrical cord to be inserted to prevent horses from rubbing against the strap.
